Disclosed is an indoor unit of an air conditioner with improved suction, discharge, and air passage structures in order to enhance operation efficiency, reduce noise, and realize miniaturization of size. According to the present invention, the indoor unit comprises: a housing including a front panel having one or more openings formed thereon and a rear panel coupled to a rear side of the front panel; one or more outlets exposed to a front side of the front panel through the openings; one or more inlets formed in a position corresponding to the outlets on the rear panel; at least one heat exchanger disposed on a front side of the inlet to absorb heat from air supplied through the inlets or to transfer heat to the air supplied through the inlets; and one or more diagonal flow fans interposed between the heat exchanger and the outlet to be able to rotate, so as to suck the air exchanging the heat in the heat exchanger and discharge the sucked air through the outlet.
