The width dimension of the gap between the ends of the guide-blade cascade and the casing wall defining the nozzle is adjustable between a substantially zero gap dimension and a maximum gap dimension.

An exhaust-gas turbocharger turbine of an internal combustion engine is provided with a spiral guide passage arranged in a turbine housing, a turbine impeller, a flow gap be ween the guide passage and the turbine impeller, and guide blades forming a guide cascade. The guide cascade with the guide blades projects axially from a support, arranged so as to be displaceable in the axial direction in the turbine housing, in such a way that the guide blades, in normal operation, are mounted in recesses of a housing wall part of the turbine housing, the recesses, in the form of a female piece, forming a mating profile shape for the guide blades. In braking operation of the internal combustion engine, the guide blades project into the flow gap during an axial displacement of the support. The device with actuation for the braking operation can be fitted as a complete module into the turbine spiral.

A method for reducing the amount of a CDR-H1 glycosylated antibody variant that competes for binding to human VEGF-A with the antibody bevacizumab in a preparation comprising said antibody variant , the method comprising the following steps: (i) subjecting said preparation to cation exchange chromatography (CEX) , size exclusion chromatography (SEC) or lectin affinity purification (LAP) , (ii) analyzing fractions obtained in step (i) for the presence of said CDR-H1 glycosylated antibody variant by HPLC-MS(/MS); and (iii) removing fractions comprising said CDR-H1 glycosylated antibody variant.2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising changing a purification process for bevacizumab claim 1 , by adjusting splitting criteria for a CEX-step and/or introducing an SEC purification step.3. The method of claim 1 , wherein said competition is measured by ELISA claim 1 , flow cytometry or surface plasmon resonance (SPR) assay.4. The method of claim 1 , wherein said antibody comprises a CDR-H1 having the amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID NO: 1 (SGYTFTNYGMN) claim 1 , wherein the first N is glycosylated.5.
