... 12,293. Davis, T. May 24. Slabs.-Blocks for structural or decorative purposes are made by forming a sand bed a on a level floor b, marking out on the sand bed the structure to be formed, for instance the gable end of a house, laying on the sand rough stones g or other decorative or facing objects dividing the stones up into area i of a preferably slightly irregular shape by means of paper or tinfoil j, placing thin wooden strips k above the stones and substantially in line with the paper and finally running cement grouting m over the stones and completing the backing by means of rough finishing-cement n. After the cement backing is set, the blocks are marked for identification and removed for erection. The backing may be reinforced by metal hoops or rods.

Style Sheet Driven Virtual Camera for Defining a Navigation Presentation

Номер: US20190178673A1
Принадлежит: Apple Inc.

Some embodiments of the invention provide several novel methods for generating a navigation presentation that displays a device navigating a route on a map. The method of some embodiments uses a virtual camera that, based on detected changes in the navigation context, dynamically modifies the way it captures portions of the map to produce different navigation scenes in the navigation presentation. To generate the navigation scenes, the method of some embodiments (1) identifies different sets of attributes that describe the different navigation contexts at different times during the navigation presentation, and (2) uses these different sets of attributes to identify different styles for operating the virtual camera. In some embodiments, the method uses an identified style to specify the virtual camera's positional attributes, which, in turn, define the portions of the map that the virtual camera identifies for rendering to produce several navigation scenes for a period of time (e.g., until the navigation context changes, or until the navigation presentation ends when the navigation context does not change again). During the navigation presentation, each time the navigation context changes, the identified set of attributes may change. This change, in turn, may cause the method of some embodiments to select a new style for operating the virtual camera. When the style for operating the virtual camera changes, the method of some embodiments modifies the way the virtual camera captures the portion of the map to render. 1. A non-transitory machine readable medium storing a program for execution by at least one processing unit of a mobile device that navigates a route , the program for generating a navigation presentation for a display screen of the mobile device , the program comprising sets of instructions for:defining a first positional relationship between a first coordinate system and a second coordinate system of a plurality of coordinate systems;based on the first ...

Style Sheet Driven Virtual Camera for Defining a Navigation Presentation

Номер: US20170356754A1
Принадлежит:

1. A non-transitory machine readable medium storing a program for execution by at least one processing unit , the program for generating a navigation presentation for display on a device that navigates to a destination along a map , the program comprising sets of instructions for:identifying, during the navigation to the destination, a set of attributes describing a current context of the navigation;using the identified set of attributes to identify a style ...

LATENCY MITIGATION THROUGH INTELLIGENT EXTRAPOLATION IN MULTIMEDIA SYSTEMS

Номер: US20180376105A1
Автор: Davies Thomas
Принадлежит:

In one embodiment, a device de-multiplexes a stream of multimedia data into first and second media streams. The device determines that a portion of the first media stream is missing for co-presentation with a corresponding portion of the second media stream due to a present latency condition. The device associates the corresponding portion of the second media stream with a previously received portion of the second media stream. The device generates media data for the first media stream for co-presentation with the corresponding portion of the second media stream in lieu of the missing portion of the first media stream, based on a previously received portion of the first media stream associated with the previously received portion of the second media stream. The device provides the generated media data and the corresponding portion of the second media stream for co-presentation by one or more user interfaces. 1. A method comprising:de-multiplexing, by a device in a network, a stream of multimedia data into first and second media streams, wherein the first media stream is a video stream and the second media stream is an audio stream;determining, by the device, that a portion of the first media stream is missing for co-presentation with a corresponding portion of the second media stream due to a present latency condition;associating, by the device, the corresponding portion of the second media stream with a previously received portion of the second media stream; identifying, by the device, an audio feature from the corresponding portion of the audio stream; and', 'matching, by the device, the audio feature to an audio feature from the previously received portion of the audio stream; and', 'selecting, by the device, the media data as a portion of the video stream that was co-presented by the one or more user interfaces with the previously received portion of the audio stream; and, 'generating, by the device, media data for the first media stream for co-presentation with ...

Engine breather assembly with oil drain back

Номер: CA2002740C
Принадлежит: ARROW SPECIALTY Co

ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A breather assembly for a combustion engine which conserves oil by condensing oil vapor from the engine and returning the oil to the crankcase. The breather assembly is mounted to the crankcase cover and includes a drain tube extending into a low pressure area of the crankcase. The breather includes a baffled interior chamber with an inlet opening at its lower end having a valving mechanism biased towards the closed position. Vapor travels through the valve into the chamber and over a baffle wall into an outer annulus. Breather holes at the bottom of the annulus allow gases to escape. Oil is condensed as the vapor travels up the inner chamber. A vacuum created by the crankcase through the drain back tube causes the condensed oil to flow back into the crankcase. In a preferred embodiment, the breather assembly is molded using a polyurethane material.

A method and apparatus for applying a liner to a pipe is disclosed. The apparatus includes a base assembly having a plurality of guide rails and a shuttle plate attached thereto. The apparatus also includes a motor module attached to an end of the base assembly. An extension arm is connected to a top surface of the shuttle plate. The extension arm has a spray head assembly attached at an opposite end thereof. The extension arm and spray head assembly will move relative to the base assembly of the apparatus. A fast cure coating will be applied via the spray head assembly to the interior surface of a pipe being rehabilitated. The spray head assembly will have an air blow off mechanism therein thus allowing for the tip of the spray head assembly to stay relatively clog free during the fast cure coating operation of the apparatus. The methodology also includes an oscillation system wherein the spray head assembly will move relative to the base assembly thus creating an over lapping pattern for the spray coating being applied to the interior surface of the pipeline. This oscillation system will allow for a more uniform coating to be applied.
