A heat sealer 10 has a support 16, 18 adjacent a heater; the heater comprise two planar mutually perpendicular parts 32-36. Alternatively a heat sealer capable of creating multiple spaced seals with a support adjacent a heater. There could be a single heating element 40 extending across the two perpendicular surfaces. There can be a 1.5-5.5mm silicon foam layer between the heating element and the plate it is mounted on. The perpendicular parts can be adjustably mounted to vary their relative position. L'invention concerne un procédé de traitement d'une étoffe pour contrôler la présence d'un produit qui l'imprègne et l'étoffe ainsi traitée. L'étoffe selon l'invention comporte ou constitue un substrat imprégné d'un agent lié à celui-ci par une liaison au moins en partie ionique, et susceptible d'être activé au contact d'un liquide polarisant tel que l'eau. Une partie du substrat imprégné a reçu une teinture qui présente la propriété d'être liée ioniquement avec l'agent d'imprégnation sensiblement plus qu'avec le substrat. L'invention s'applique notamment aux étoffes imprégnées d'un désinfectant pour connaître le moment où l'étoffe a perdu son efficacité à l'égard des microbes, par disparition du désinfectant. The invention relates to a method of treating a fabric to control the presence of a product which impregnates it and the fabric thus treated. The fabric according to the invention comprises or constitutes a substrate impregnated with an agent bound thereto by an at least partly ionic bond, and capable of being activated in contact with a polarizing liquid such as water. A portion of the impregnated substrate has received a dye which exhibits the property of being ionically bonded with the impregnating agent substantially more than with the substrate. The invention applies in particular to fabrics impregnated with a disinfectant in order to know the moment when the fabric has lost its effectiveness with regard to microbes, by disappearance of the disinfectant.

A device 10 for removing tablets from blister packs is formed as a substantially U-shaped member having a pair of spaced legs 12, 14 which can be resiliently moved together. A blister pack is supported in the U-shape on the one leg 12 with sealed compartments upstanding and one of the compartments being aligned with an aperture 18 in the leg 12. Hand pressure on the other leg 14 moves a profiled member 20 initially against an upstanding side edge of the respect of compartment, with continuing hand pressure deforming the plastics material of the compartment and pushing the tablet against a foil closure to break the latter and therefore displace the tablet through the foil and through the aperture 18.

Method and apparatus for removing tablets from blister packs

An apparatus is provided for removing tablets from a blister pack including formations for receiving the tablets and a rupturable foil member which seals the formations. The foil member is rupturable to allow removal of the tablets from the blister pack. The de-blistering apparatus works essentially by using an adhesive coated tape to mount and draw the blister pack through a depressing station and a foil removal station. In the depressing station, the foil which seals the tablet within the formations is ruptured and in the foil removal station the ruptured foil is removed from the blister pack to free the tablet.
