Ein bürstenloser Gleichstrommotor umfasst einen Stator, der eine Mehrzahl von Ankerspulen aufweist, und einen um eine Drehachse zum Stator drehbaren, permanenterregten Rotor, der zumindest zwei ungleichnamige Permanentmagnetpole aufweist, die ein durch einen Erregerfeldvektor beschreibbares Erregerfeld erzeugen. Eine Steuereinrichtung dient zum Ansteuern der Ankerspulen zum Erzeugen eines um die Drehachse an dem Stator umlaufenden, durch einen Ankerfeldvektor beschreibbaren Ankerfelds, wobei die Steuereinrichtung ausgebildet ist, im Betrieb des Gleichstrommotors die Ankerspulen so anzusteuern, dass sich ein Winkel zwischen dem Ankerfeldvektor und dem Erregerfeldvektor einstellt. Dabei ist vorgesehen, dass die Steuereinrichtung (2) eine ein Kennfeld (K) speichernde Speichereinheit (20) aufweist, wobei in dem Kennfeld (K) Winkelparameter (O) enthalten sind und die Steuereirichtung (2) ausgebildet ist, anhand des Kennfelds (K) den Winkel (α) zwischen dem Ankerfeldvektor (A) und dem Erregerfeldvektor (E) in Abhängigkeit von der Drehzahl (n) und dem Drehmoment (M) des Rotors (11) im Betrieb zu regeln. Auf diese Weise wird ein bürstenloser Gleichstrommotor zur Verfügung gestellt, der eine Optimierung des Betriebsverhaltens des Motors im Betrieb hinsichtlich unterschiedlicher Kriterien, insbesondere hinsichtlich der Effizienz, des Geräuschverhaltens und der elektromagnetischen Abstrahlung ermöglicht, dabei aber variabel durch einen Nutzer angepasst werden kann.
