The cylinder head includes a housing having a recess defining a top portion of a combustion chamber. The cylinder head further includes intake and exhaust ports defined by channels extending from the top portion of the combustion chamber to an outer end of the housing. An intake valve is positioned within the cylinder head to control communication of the intake port with the combustion chamber, and an exhaust valve is positioned within the cylinder head to control communication of the exhaust port with the combustion chamber. The intake port further includes a cross-section having a modified D-shape with a single 90 degree corner. The modified D-shape cross-section extends substantially a length of the intake port.

The engine further includes an oil drain and an oil drain tube having a first end coupled to the oil drain and a second end that opens and closes to selectively drain oil from the engine, the oil drain tube being positionable so as to extend out through the opening. The opening in the one of the sidewalls is lower than the oil drain, such that the oil drain tube is positioned with a downward angle when extending from the oil drain and out of the enclosure through the opening.

Each of the foregoing arrangements, used separately or in combination within one another, aids in preventing "freeze-up" of the carburetor during running of the engine in a cold environment.
