Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein militärisches Wasserfahrzeug (1) mit einer richtbaren Waffe (7, 8) und einer Antenne (9, 10), wobei die Antenne (9, 10) von einer ersten Stellung, in welcher die Antenne im Wesentlichen senkrecht angeordnet ist, in eine zweite Stellung schwenkbar ist, in welcher die Höhe der Antenne oberhalb des Wasserfahrzeugs zur Vergrößerung des Richtbereichs der Waffe (7, 8) gegenüber der ersten Stellung verringert ist. Ferner betrifft die Erfindung ein Verfahren zum Betrieb eines militärischen Wasserfahrzeugs mit einer richtbaren Waffe und einer Antenne, wobei die Antenne von einer ersten Stellung, in welcher die Antenne im Wesentlichen senkrecht angeordnet ist, in eine zweite Stellung geschwenkt wird, in welcher die Höhe der Antenne oberhalb des Wasserfahrzeugs zur Vergrößerung des Richtbereichs der Waffe gegenüber der ersten Stellung verringert ist.
