The present invention provides a process for extracting mannitol from kelp soak solution by using membrane method, comprising the following steps: (1)filtering and trash extraction of mannitol containing kelp soak solution after alkali refining and iodine extracting process; (2)salt elimination of ion exchange membrane by electrodialysis; (3)constant pressure filtration by filter aid; (4) reverse osmosis membrane concentration; (5)decolorization, concentration by evaporation and product collection. Wherein, the filtering trash extraction and adoption equipment in step (1) is a mechanical filter or a secondary filter, the filter aid adopted in step (3) is diatomite. The inventive method has simple procedure, high yield and product purity, and saves energy.
