SEALING PROFILE AND SEALING SYSTEM INCLUDING THE SAME

The invention relates to a sealing profile (27) which is used as a seal on the window (4) of a vehicle door and which consists of a fastening section (28) to be put onto a ridge (13) and a sealing section (30) designed to rest against the window (4) when the latter is closed. The sealing section (30) is characterized by at least one sealing lip (32) onto the free end of which a section (32') is molded which is bent in the direction of the fastening section (28). Said bent section is deflected in the direction of the lower side (31') of an additional sealing lip (31) when the window (4) is closed and defines therewith a closed space (33) that is open in the open state of the window (4). The space (33) formed by the sealing lip (31) being rolled up results in favorable damping properties and reduced closing forces as compared to a classical hollow profile, owing to an increased supporting effect on ventilation.

The seal has a metallic support rail (29) and an elastomer profile (17) which is co-extruded with the support rail (29). Said seal (18) is three-dimensional in shape and can be fixed to connecting parts (10) of the roof frame with fixing elements (36). At least two mounting areas (35) are provided on the support rail (29). These mounting areas (35) are located at a distance from each other in the longitudinal direction of the seal (18), project out from the elastomer profile (17) crosswise to the longitudinal direction and interact with the fixing elements (36).

Eine, für die Berandung einer, zwischen einer Öffnungs- und einer Schließstellung entlang einer Eindrehkurve beweglich angeordneten Scheibe (11) bestimmte Dichtungsanordnung besteht aus einem zur Befestigung an Teilen der Karosserie einer Fahrzeugtüre eingerichteten Befestigungsabschnitt und einem Dichtungsabschnitt, welch letzterer ein Dichtungsprofil (16) aufweist, welches in der Schließstellung der Scheibe (11) gegenüber dieser drei von einer Außenseite (7) in Richtung auf eine Innenseite (8) hin aufeinander folgende, voneinander beabstandete Dichtungsbereiche bildet. Zwischen den Dichtungsbereichen befinden sich Hohlräume, die jeweils in Umfangsrichtung durch die zugekehrte Oberfläche der Scheibe (11) sowie durch einen Wandungsabschnitt (24) eines Hohlprofils (17) des Dichtungsabschnitts begrenzt werden. Es ergibt sich eine durch einen einfachen Aufbau gekennzeichnete Dichtungsanordnung, welche aufgrund der Hintereinanderanordnung von drei Dichtungsbereichen entlang des Wandungsabschnitts (24) des genannten Hohlprofils eine gute Dichtungswirkung entwickelt.
