Die Erfindung betrifft eine Spülmaschine (2.1, 2.2), welche als Transportspülmaschine oder als Programmautomat ausgebildet ist und mindestens ein Waschsystem zum Versprühen von Waschflüssigkeit in einer Waschzone (12, 14, 16) bzw. während einer Waschphase und mindestens ein Klarspülsystem zum Versprühen von Klarspülflüssigkeit in einer Klarspülzone (18) bzw. während einer Klarspülphase aufweist, wobei ferner eine Steuereinrichtung (50) vorgesehen ist zum Ansteuern des mindestens einen Waschsystems und/oder des mindestens einen Klarspülsystems gemäß einem vorab festgelegten Ablaufprogramm. Um zu erreichen, dass Ressourcen beim Betrieb der Spülmaschine (2.1, 2.2) eingespart werden können, wobei gleichzeitig die in den jeweils lokal (territorial begrenzt) geltenden Hygienerichtlinien festgelegten Anforderungen an den hygienischen Betrieb der Spülmaschine (2.1, 2.2) erfüllt werden, ist erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, dass in der Steuereinrichtung (50) mindestens ein erstes Ablaufprogramm abgelegt ist, welches unter Berücksichtigung von in einem ersten territorialen Bereich geltenden Anforderungen an einen hygienischen Betrieb einer gewerblichen Spülmaschine (2.1, 2.2) erstellt wurde, und dass in der Steuereinrichtung (50) mindestens ein zweites Ablaufprogramm abgelegt ist, welches unter Berücksichtigung von in einem zweiten territorialen Bereich geltenden Anforderungen an einen hygienischen Betrieb einer gewerblichen Spülmaschine (2.1, 2.2) erstellt wurde.
