The invention relates to a method of observing vanadium excluded phase in high-carbon steel bull rods containing vanadium and nitrogen, comprising the following steps: a. warming high-carbon steel bull rods containing vanadium or the high-carbon steel bull rod samples containing vanadium and nitrogen, to 1100 DEG C to 1150 DEG C, then keeping warm, performing high temperature solution treatment; b. slowly cooling to 850 DEG C to 950 DEG C for heat preservation, finally cooling to room temperature; c. observing the cooled samples under an electron microscope, obtaining pictures and energy spectrum images of the excluded phase. The vanadium excluded phase can be seen through the invention, through researching excluding behavior of vanadium in the high-carbon steel bull rods, vanadium steelstrengthening mechanism and effect on organization and mechanical property of the high-carbon steel bull rods are accordingly gripped, thereby providing proof for producing control.
