An apparatus and method for producing a temperature difference between the sides of a Thermo-Electric Generator (TEG) for generating electrical power are described. A method for establishing a trusted session between a first computing device and a computer server includes obtaining identifying information for the first computing device and a second computing device. The identifying information includes identifying information corresponding to the networks to which each of the computing devices are directly connected. Based on the identifying information it may be determined that there is sufficient correspondence between the first and second computing devices. If so, an indication is sent to the second computing device requesting confirmation that the first computing device should be authenticated to the account. An indication confirming this may then be received and, responsive thereto, the first computing device is authenticated to the account. Related computer systems and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

A method for producing a temperature difference between the sides of a Thermo-Electric Generator (TEG) for generating electrical power are described. Water is used to saturate a wicking material in thermal communication with at least one thermal conductor, such as metal tubing or wires, whereby one side of the TEG is cooled by the reduction of heat caused by the evaporation of the liquid from the material, and transferred to the TEG by the at least one thermal conductor. The other side of the TEG is maintained in a dry condition, and exposed to ambient conditions, thereby remaining at ambient temperature and, as a result, containing more heat than the cooled side.

Systems and processes for the production of lithium metal from molten salts. Systems can include a ceramic tube affixed by or to a freeze-composite. The freeze-composite includes a matrix, of a salt and a dispersed phase. The freeze is maintained with a cooling collar to maintain a temperature below the melting point of the salt. Systems can include a molten-catholyte and a molten-anolyte each adjacent to separate surfaces of the ceramic tube. The freeze-composite forms a fluidic and non-conductive barrier between the molten-catholyte and the molten-anolyte. Processes include a freeze-composite affixed to the ceramic tube. The ceramic tube is adjacent to a composite collar which is adjacent to a cooling collar; The cooling fluid is passed through the cooling collar. A molten-catholyte is passed along a first surface of the ceramic tube. A molten-anolyte is passed along to a second surface of the ceramic tube.

Lithium anodes that include lithium metal sheets or foils welded to current collectors are described with processes for their formation. One example is a lithium metal anode for use in a battery that includes a current collector carrying proximal lithium metal layers that carry distal lithium metal layers. The proximal lithium metal layers having thicknesses of about 100 nm to about 25 μm and having greater than about 99.5 wt. % lithium, the distal lithium metal layers having thicknesses of about 10 μm to about 200 μm and having greater than about 90 wt. % lithium. Notably, the proximal and distal lithium differ in their average grain sizes with the distal average grain size but at least 1.5 times the size of the proximal average grain size.

The hemostatic agent is selected from epinephrine, tranexamic acid, chitosan and oxidized regenerated cellulose. In some embodiments, systems and methods are disclosed.
