A text message is first parsed into its constituent semantic components such as header fields and body components. Then, different compression methods may be performed on each semantic component depending on the importance of the semantic component, the context of the semantic component, the characteristics of the semantic component, and whether or not the semantic component uses natural language expressions. For example, it is determined what compression method, if any, is to be performed on the semantic component. Each semantic component may be compressed individually. Since text compression takes the unique features of each semantic component into consideration rather than considering the text message as a monolithic text unit, a more intuitive text compression results.

Directing Meeting Entrants Based On Meeting Role

In one or more embodiments, a meeting organizer develops a list that includes meeting participants and each participant's meeting role. Individual roles can have associated credentials that are utilized to sign into a particular meeting. A single invitation type is sent to all meeting participants irrespective of their role in the meeting. The invitation type includes a single join link for all participants. When a participant joins the meeting, they can be authenticated and authorized against the list that the organizer developed. Based on the participant's role, they are routed to the appropriate client application to consume the meeting. 1. A computer-implemented method comprising:receiving input associated with a meeting;receiving input associated with meeting participants having different meeting roles;receiving a single join link configured to enable meeting participants to join the meeting and be redirected to one of multiple different client applications that enable performance of a participant's role; andtransmitting a meeting invitation, including the input associated with the meeting, the input associated with the meeting participants and the single join link, to the meeting participants to enable each participant to join the meeting by way of the single join link.2. The method of claim 1 , wherein said receiving input associated with meeting participants comprises receiving input associated with meeting attendees and participants other than meeting attendees.3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the single join link is configured to enable participants to be authenticated and authorized for a role against a pre-defined list.4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the meeting roles comprise an event team and attendees.5. The method of claim 1 , wherein said transmitting a meeting invitation comprises transmitting an e-mail.6. Such interaction may occur via an application programming interface exposed by the operating system. Based on the information obtained from the operating system, the application then determines one or more accessibility settings of the application, which may include identifying the one or more accessibility settings of the application based on a correspondence to the one or more accessibility settings of the operating system. A navigation system and method for resolving discrepancies between a reported position and route data is presented. Based on a reported position, the navigation system identifies prospective road segments within a radius of the reported position. For each road segment, the navigation system generates a series of scores according to various attributes, including the current heading, current speed, proximity of reported location to the prospective road, and the like. Historical scores are also generated based on historical information, i.e., previous navigation device locations. Scores are normalized such that they can be compared, and optionally weighted according to particular implementation details. After scores have been generated for each prospective road, the prospective road, and its determined location, with the best score is selected as the resolved, actual location.

Thus, the venue system might join into meetings offered by a variety of meeting services, to thereby take advantage of the substantial offerings of a venue system. Furthermore, the joining is done via a web application that is indeed native to the meeting service. Because the native web applications is offered by the same entity as the meeting services, the web applications are typically kept up-to-date to thereby take fuller advantage of newer offerings of the meeting services as the capabilities of the meeting services evolve. Accordingly, even without updating the venue system itself, the venue system is capable of offering more up-to-date services of a variety of different meeting services even though the venue service itself is not native to those various meeting services.

Contextual information for the event are discovered, which are used to customize the dictionary to the event and to locate supplemental contextual information in a graph database to further customize the event. Supplemental contextual information include the parsed names and vocabulary items discovered in the one or more data sources for entities related to those discovered in a graph database are being related to the contextual information according to one or more graph queries. The supplemental context information provides terminology and names that may be spoken during the event, but otherwise would have been omitted from affecting the contextualized dictionary according to the contextual information.

Translation on demand with gap filling

The functionality of devices used to translate transcribed events is augmented to provide on-demand translations as well as prioritized gap filling in incomplete translations. In various aspects, the transcript is provided as a readout or as captioning that is presented in concert with the event being transcribed. When an initial request for translated captioning is made, the translated captions are generated in near real-time and provided to the requestor for as long as the requestor continues to view the event. In some aspects, generation and provision of translated captions cease once the requestor is no longer consuming captions in the given language. In additional aspects, translation of as-of-yet untranslated portions of the transcript for a given language (i.e., gaps), are filled according to a prioritization scheme, so that translated transcripts may be provided for the entire transcript for users in various languages.
