Radio broadcasting equipment is provided that enables targeted radio broadcast delivery in an radio broadcast area wherein a plurality of radio auxiliary or booster transmitters are used to transmit localized RDS data and/or auxiliary information to supplement broadcast area wide content transmitted and/or RDS data on the same frequency. Moreover, these auxiliary or booster transmitters may be configured to transmit different localized RDS data and/or auxiliary information to supplement at least one main transmitter transmitted on corresponding specified transmission frequencies using Time Division Multiple Access frame structure. 1. Radio broadcasting equipment comprising:a plurality of auxiliary transmitters associated with at least one main transmitter, the at least one main transmitter transmitting broadcast area wide programming for a respective broadcast area; anda mechanism for switching on transmission of localized RDS data by at least one of the plurality of auxiliary transmitters, wherein the at least one of the plurality of auxiliary transmitters transmits localized RDS data on at least one of the transmission frequencies of the at least one main transmitter.2. The radio broadcasting equipment of claim 1 , wherein localized RDS data is distributed to at least one of the plurality of auxiliary transmitters based on RF frequency of transmitted data.3. The radio broadcasting equipment of claim 1 , wherein transmission of localized RDS content via at least one of the plurality of auxiliary transmitters is performed on multiple RF frequencies.4. The radio broadcasting equipment of claim 1 , wherein transmission of localized RDS content via at least one of the plurality of auxiliary transmitters is separated by time.5. The radio broadcasting equipment of claim 1 , wherein transmission of localized RDS content via at least one of the plurality of auxiliary transmitters is performed based on RF frequency.6. Radio broadcasting equipment is provided that enables targeted radio broadcast advertisement delivery in a radio broadcast area wherein localized auxiliary content may be transmitted to a user device prior to or during transmission of broadcasted audio streams and output to the user via the user device at a prescribed point in time that is triggered based on an inaudible tone included in the broadcasted audio stream. Selection of the auxiliary content may be based on location information determined by the user device and/or preference information input by the user. 1. Radio broadcasting equipment for providing targeted auxiliary content delivery in a radio broadcast area , the equipment comprising:at least one server configured to transmit auxiliary content to at least one user device for storage within a memory of the at least one user device; andat least one encoder configured to insert an inaudible tone into an audio stream transmitted via at least one transmitter within the radio broadcast area,wherein at least some portion of the auxiliary content is output to a user via the at least one user device in response to receipt of the inaudible tone in the audio stream thereby interrupting output of the audio stream for a specified period of time.2. The equipment of claim 1 , wherein the auxiliary content includes at least one of advertisements claim 1 , public safety information claim 1 , public service information claim 1 , emergency broadcast information.3. The equipment of claim 1 , further comprising the at least one transmitter claim 1 , wherein the at least one transmitter is one of a plurality of transmitters that transmit analog radio signals.4. Radio broadcasting equipment comprising:a plurality of auxiliary transmitters associated with at least one main transmitter, the at least one main transmitter transmitting broadcast area wide programming on a radio frequency for a respective broadcast area, wherein the plurality of auxiliary transmitters transmit on the same radio frequency as the at least one main transmitter; andat least one processor running software to control synchronization of a radio signal transmitted by the plurality of auxiliary transmitters on an intra-plurality basis as well as control synchronization of the plurality of auxiliary transmitters' radio signal with a radio signal transmitted by the at least one main transmitter,wherein a cumulative power level for the radio signal transmitted by the plurality of auxiliary transmitters overwhelms the power level of the radio signal transmitted by the at least one main transmitter in a radio broadcast area dead zone associated with the plurality of auxiliary transmitters.2. The radio broadcasting equipment of claim 1 , wherein the broadcast area is a radio broadcasters' listening area.3.
