The present invention relates to compositions comprising peptides with antidandruff activity. The invention also relates to the use of these peptides as antidandruff agents, or in methodes for treating dandruff. 1. A method for treating a desquamative disorder of the scalp , the method comprising applying at least one composition comprising phylloseptin or dermaseptin antimicrobial peptide , a functional variant or a salt of said peptide , as antidandruff agent , to the hair , scalp , or both , of a person in need thereof.2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one composition comprises a phylloseptin peptide of formula (I):{'br': None, 'sub': 1', '2', '3', '4', '5, 'S-L-I-P-H-A-I-N-A-V-S-X-X-X-X-H-X\u2003\u2003(I),'}wherein:{'sub': 1', '5, 'Xand X, independently, represent a hydrophobic or neutral hydrophilic amino acid;'}{'sub': 2', '3, 'Xand X, independently, represent a hydrophobic amino acid; and'}{'sub': '4', 'Xrepresents an alkaline or neutral hydrophilic amino acid.'}3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one composition comprises a phylloseptin peptide of formula (I′):{'br': None, 'sub': 1', '2', '3', '4', '5, 'F-L-S-L-I-P-H-A-I-N-A-V-S-X-X-X-X-H-X\u2003\u2003(I′),'}wherein:{'sub': 1', '5, 'Xand X, independently, represent a hydrophobic or neutral hydrophilic amino acid;'}{'sub': 2', '3, 'Xand X, independently, represent a hydrophobic amino acid; and'}{'sub': '4', 'Xrepresents an alkaline or neutral hydrophilic amino acid.'}5.
