The present invention provides a coking plant. The coking plant includes a series of coke ovens, each oven including a coking chamber provided with side unloading doors. The chamber communicates with a riser provided with a coking-gas discharge pipe. The discharge pipes of each oven lead into a collecting cylinder, which is in turn connected to a coking gas treatment circuit. At least one discharge pipe of one of the ovens further includes a device for spraying pressurized liquid onto the wall of the discharge pipe. The liquid flows counter-current with respect to the direction of the flow of the gases exiting the chamber. The present invention also provides a method for controlling such a plant. 111-. Syringes which are suitable for dispensing and injecting medical foams for sclerotherapy are described and claimed. The syringes of the invention comprise a syringe barrel having a nozzle and a bore to receive a syringe plunger; a syringe plunger defined by a front end and a rear end connected by a tubular walls and having an internal hollow duct between the front end and the rear end, and through which foam can flow; and an injectate chamber formed by insertion of the front end of the plunger into the barrel. The syringes comprise a flow-disruptor arranged to modify the flow of foam as it enters the injectate chamber. In certain embodiments the syringes comprise waste chambers which capture and retain poor quality foam. The syringes are particularly useful for dispensing foams made with little or no nitrogen content and are configured to reduce the risk of air contamination during dispensing the foam. Kits comprising the syringes together with a suitable source of foam and methods of dispensing foam form further aspects of the invention.

The supporting line (2) is rigid under axial torsion, whilst the inspection head (1) is movable in axial rotation and is formed by a demountable assemblage of two parts: a permanent part (11), attached to the end of the supporting line by means of a rotary joint (10) and housing a miniaturized photography device (26), and an interchangeable part (12), fastened rigidly to said permanent part in the extension of the latter with the aid of a demountable joint (44) and comprising a parietal (lateral or axial) orifice provided with a wide angle ocular lens (23) followed by an optical line (25) for conveying the light energy picked up by said lens toward the photography device (26). A motor system and encoder (32 to 36) are mounted in the probe for motorizing the axial rotation of the inspection head and ensuring adjustment of its angular position in relation to the supporting line. The endoscopic probe is suitable for the visual inspection of the flues of coke ovens.

The present invention provides a container (200) comprising a container body (202) which forms an internal cavity for receiving content. The container (200) has an opening (236) through which the content is able to be inserted to and removed from the internal volume. A closure (204), which may be in the form of a lid, is movable with respect to the container body (202) between a closed position in which it closes the opening (236) and an open position in which the opening (236) is uncovered. A locking member (280) is movable between a lock position and an unlock position and is configured when in the lock position to lock the closure in its closed position. Moving the locking member to the unlock position releases the closure (204) to open the container. Inflatable dunnage (256) is provided in the internal volume and is configured to be inflated by injection of fluid, which may be gas. An exhaust port (290) communicates with the inflatable dunnage and is provided with an exhaust port shutoff arrangement (278) having a closed state in which it closes the exhaust port (290) and an open state in which it opens the exhaust port. The locking member (280) is configured to cooperate with the exhaust port shutoff arrangement (278) such that moving the locking member from its lock position to its unlock position causes the exhaust port shutoff arrangement (278) to change from its closed state to its open state, whereby pressure in the inflatable dunnage is automatically released through the exhaust port prior to opening of the container.
