An air sampling device samples air in a controlled environment. The device includes a housing body having a top and a side. An opening is located at the top of the housing body. A retaining assembly retains a sampling device and atrium. The retaining assembly is located at the top of the housing body about the opening. A plenum has a top end and a bottom end, with the top end coupled to the top of the housing body about the opening so that the plenum is in flow communication with the opening. A mass flow meter has an input and an output, with the input coupled to the bottom end of the plenum and in flow communication with the bottom end of the plenum. A blower is located inside the plenum and is configured to draw air past the sampling device, through the opening, through the plenum, and through the mass flow meter. The mass flow meter detects a flow rate of air through the mass flow meter. And a controller receives the detected flow rate from the mass flow meter and controls a speed of the blower in response to the detected flow rate. A vehicle and a locking assembly are disclosed. The locking assembly includes a pawl rotatable about a pivot axis between an engaged position and a disengaged position. The pawl is adapted to engage the ring gear when in the engaged position for preventing movement of the ring gear. The locking assembly further includes an actuator selectively actuated to move the pawl to the engaged position. Additionally, the locking assembly includes a biasing mechanism engaging the pawl to continuously bias the pawl toward the disengaged position. The pawl includes a first tooth and a second tooth spaced from each other to define a gap therebetween. The first tooth and the second tooth are adapted to trap a tooth of the ring gear in the gap when the pawl is in the engaged position for preventing rotation of the ring gear.

The bottom plate has a deepened center well formed in the top surface. Elongated slots are formed in the top surface which extend out from the well. The slots have distal ends which extend beyond the Petri dish. Air is drawn into the sampler by a vacuum tube through an air port which communicates with the center well. Air is pulled into the 283 holes in the top plate and strikes the capture material in the Petri dish. The air then travels up over the sides of the dish, into the distal ends, through the slots, and into the center well, where it exits out of the vacuum air port.

Method and apparatus for joining two or more substructure components of an offshore platform in the water to form a unitary substructure component or jacket. An offshore platform to be located in deep water includes a jacket having at least two sections each composed of at least three legs. The legs are hollow and compartmented and provided with means to adjust the buoyancy of each leg. Each section is launched separately and floated in the at least one leg at or above the water's surface. One of the sections is floated toward a selected shore site until its submerged leg or legs are grounded and the jacket section made negatively buoyant. Another jacket section is floated to the shore site and its legs are aligned with the legs of the already grounded section. The companion legs of each section are then joined to form a unitized jacket. The other jacket section may also be grounded and made negatively buoyant prior to joining the two sections. Support means, such as skids and/or jacks may be used to transform the sea floor at the shore site to a deisred, proper grade or slope for joining the jacket sections. The unitized jacket is floated to the deep water location at which the offshore platform is to be installed and the sections are controllably ballasted to position the jacket upright. The jacket is then anchored to the sea floor and the deck of the platform is placed or stabbed onto the anchored jacket.

A plenum has a top end coupled to the housing body about an opening such that the plenum is in flow communication with the opening and receives air flow generally from the top end to the bottom end generally along the longitudinal length thereof.
