A partial network table is searched based on the CAN frame, and then a CAN identification (ID) is searched for. A partial networking-only CAN frame is generated using the CAN ID. Provided is a method and apparatus for allocating a multicast connection identifier (MCID) for Internet protocol (IP) packet transmission over a portable Internet network and transmitting packets using the MCID. More specifically, there is provided a method of defining and allocating an MCID for transmitting an IP version 6 (IPv6) multicast packet over an IEEE 802.16/Wireless Broadband (WiBro) network and a process for transmitting an IP multicast packet of a base station (BS) using the MCID. The method of allocating is related to a method of automatically generating a connection identifier (CID) having 16 bits for packet transmission over the IEEE 802.16/WiBro network in order to transmit the IPv6 multicast packet. In this method, a scope value of the IPv6 multicast packet is added to the MCID. Therefore, multicast packets having an effective IPv6 scope such as a multicast packet in a link-local category, a multicast packet in a site-local category, and a multicast packet in a global category can be transmitted over the IEEE 802.16/WiBro network according to the scope of the multicast packet. Accordingly, when a new IPv6 scope is defined, the method can be naturally applied.

The fibre is produced by heating a mixture of polyacrylonitrile and water in a concentration of approximately 5-100 % by weight, to temperatures which are higher than the hydration-melting temperature, in a hermetically closed receptacle, to obtain an amorphous molten mass; cooling of the resultant amorphous molten mass to temperatures between the melting and melt solidification temperatures, for the formation of a supermelted mass; the extrusion of the resulting supermelted mass for the production of an extrudate; stabilisation of the resulting extrudate using heat at temperatures of between 180 and 300 DEG C, for a period ranging from 1 minute to 4 hours after drying and drawing; and sectioning to the appropriate size and beating the resulting extrudate stabilised by heat.

Heat-and chemical-resistant acrylic short fibers without spinning

A new, pulp-like, acrylic short fiber having excellent heat- and chemical-resistance is provided. The fiber has a thickness distribution of 0.1 µm to 50 µm, a length distribution of 1 mm to 20 mm, and a thermal transition temperature (Tg) of above 200°C. The fiber is produced by heating a mixture of polyacrylonitrile and water of about 5 % to 100% by weight to temperatures above hydration-melting temperature under seal to an amorphous melt; cooling the resulting amorphous melt to temperatures between the melting and the solidifying temperatures of the melt to form a supercooled melt; extruding the resulting supercooled melt to give extrudates; heat-stabilizing the resulting extrudates at temperatures between 180°C and 300°C for 1 minute to 4 hours after drying and drawing; and cutting and beating the resulting heat-stabilized extrudates into an appropriate size.

Provided is a base station (BS) and method of avoiding a flood of join messages for an Internet protocol (IP) multicast group in a portable Internet network, and more particularly, to a BS and method of transmitting join messages for an Internet IP multicast group to an access router or other BSs with a predetermined delay time in an IP multicast (IP version 4 (IPv4) or IP version 6 (IPv6)) service in an IEEE 802.16/Wireless Broadband (WiBro) network. In addition, the BS immediately transmits the join message for the group to other user terminals which belong to the BS. Accordingly, a problem whereby a method of avoiding a flood of multicast group join messages cannot be applied due to point-to-multipoint characteristics of the portable Internet network such as the IEEE 802.16/WiBro network is solved. In addition, the method of avoiding a flood of join messages can be applied using both IPv4 multicast and IPv6 multicast services.
