The method of claim 1 , further comprising displaying claim 1 , in the AR environment claim 1 , a tether line between the AR object and the reference surface claim 1 , the tether line indicating that the AR object is the distance above the reference surface.3. The method of claim 2 , wherein the tether line includes an indication of a point of origin on the reference surface claim 2 , the point of origin being a location of the AR object on the reference surface prior to the elevation of the AR object.4. A method , comprising:receiving, by an electronic device, data defining an augmented reality (AR) environment including a representation of a physical environment;identifying at least one of a plane representing at least a portion of a first real-world object within the physical environment or an augmented region representing at least a portion of a second real-world object within the physical environment;receiving an instruction to place an AR object within the AR environment; andin response to receiving the instruction, placing the AR object in the AR environment at least one of based on the plane using a plane-tracking mode or based on the augmented region using a region-tracking mode.2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:placing the AR object in the AR environment at a first time based on the plane-tracking mode; andswitching, at a second time, to the region-tracking mode.3. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:placing the AR object in the AR environment at a first time based on the region-tracking mode; andswitching, at a second time, to the plane-tracking mode.4. A continuous flow-rate gas generator fueled by liquid mono-propellant includes a propellant storage tank, a motor-driven pump (or other pressurization technique) to force the propellant into a combustion chamber having an enclosed volume, an injector to effectively break up the incoming liquid propellant into droplets that facilitate ignition and sustain combustion, an igniter to initiate the combustion process, a nozzle to expand the exhaust gases in order to optimize the pressure and temperature of the working fluid, and exhaust ducting to direct the flow and handle the further heat transfer requirements. If desired, the output may be varied through two mechanisms: either by including an exit gas valve used to vary the exit gas flow to match delivery needs; or by having a plurality of continuous gas generators connected in parallel to a manifold assembly and relying on the combination of mixed flow-rates to match a required gas output.
