The appliance is for the even application of a fluid lubricant to both sides of a metal sheet, moved to a processing machine. It uses a pair of rotating rollers, which contact both sides. The rollers (3, 4) consist of brushes of single or bunches of bristles. They are retained in a housing (1) having inlet and outlet slots (5, 6) for the metal sheet (8). The lower housing section has a lubricant immersion bath (11) for the bristles (4) of the lower roller. The upper housing section contains a controllable lubricant drop feed with nozzle arrangement (12) above the bristles of the upper brush.

An apparatus for the intermittent feeding of web-type or strip-type material by means of feed roll into an operating chamber of a press. The feed rolls are driven by a main press drive through a mechanical connection and a feed gear mechanism. A scrap cutter is provided which can be driven in correspondence with the operating cycle of the press. The mechanical connection can be selectively severed or interrupted with an auxiliary drive mechanism being provided which is adapted to be connected to the apparatus. The scrap cutter may be driven by a separate drive mechanism in correspondence with the cycle of the feed gear mechanism.

Apparatus for trimming to length deep drawn or extruded workpieces has a rotating transport member in the form of a hollow cylinder having a series of workpiece holders formed around its periphery at one end, the cylinder supporting for axial movement a ring of parallel punches associated one with each workpiece holder, the punches each being first projected forward in succession to engage a workpiece loaded into the associated workpiece holder at a loading station and to cooperate with a die so as to trim the workpiece, and then being retracted, by means of cam followers attached to the punches and engaging a camming slot formed in a stationary drum mounted within the hollow cylinder, the workpiece being stripped from the punch during its retractive movement. An ejector bolt is provided in a bore within each punch to commence the stripping operation at the commencement of the retractive movement.

The press, esp. a blocking press, has a ram, connected to a ring eccentric. There is a crankshaft eccentric, and the rotary axis of the crankshaft is staggered relative to the central plane, in which the ram moves. The press has a trough-shaped frame with U-shaped cross section. The crankshaft is held in the U-flanks of the frame. The ram has a I-shaped cross section, and is vertically movable between the flanks of the frame. A ring eccentric is held on an eccentric within the I-flank of the ram.
