A material for skin is provided including a silicone component-containing polymer obtained by polymerizing a silicone monomer having a carbon-carbon double bond, and a component selected from an antibacterial agent and an alcohol. Provided are a material for skin, which is transparent and has a moderate moisture content, and also has high oxygen permeability, and a method for producing the same. 1. A material for skin , comprising a silicone component-containing polymer obtained by polymerizing a silicone monomer having a carbon-carbon double bond , and a component selected from an antibacterial agent and an alcohol.2. The material for skin according to claim 1 , wherein the silicone monomer is a silicone monomer including no polyether structure.3. The material for skin according to claim 1 , wherein the material for skin is a sheet.4. The material for skin according to claim 3 , wherein the material for skin has an initial moisture content of 10 to 80% by weight claim 3 , and also has a shrinkage ratio of 20% or less.5. The material for skin according to any one of to claim 3 , wherein the antibacterial agent contains halogen.6. The material for skin according to claim 1 , wherein the alcohol is an alcohol having a boiling point of 150° C. or higher.7. The material for skin according to claim 1 , wherein the content of silicon atoms in the material for skin is from 5 to 30% by weight based on the dry weight of the material for skin.8. The material for skin according to claim 1 , wherein the content of hydroxyl groups in the silicone monomer is from 0.0005 to 0.01 equivalent/g.9. The material for skin according to claim 1 , wherein the application of the material for skin is at least one selected from a sanitary good claim 1 , a cosmetic claim 1 , a cell culture medium claim 1 , a skin protective material and a drug carrier.10.
