A method of allocating resources for an enhanced physical hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) channel (E-PHICH) , the method comprising:allocating a subset of an enhanced physical downlink control channel (E-PDCCH) for use by the E-PHICH, wherein the E-PDCCH is defined by at least one of enhanced resource element groups (eREGs) and enhanced control channel elements (eCCEs), each eCCE is formed by grouping a plurality of eREGs, and each eREG containing at least one resource element (RE).2. The method of further comprising:selecting E-PDCCH physical resource block (PRB) pairs as a resource for the E-PHICH.3. MIMO CODEBOOK GENERATION

Particular codebook entries used for a MIMO system of a lower dimension (i.e., having a relatively low number of antennas) can be used to generate a codebook for a MIMO system of a higher dimension (i.e., having a relatively high number of antennas). The entries in rank 1 of the codebook related to the MIMO system having four transmit antennas are used to newly construct entries for rank 1 through rank 8 of two base matrices for a MIMO base codebook related to eight transmit antennas. 2. Methods, systems and apparatuses for operation in long-term evolution (LTE) systems are provided, including a method implemented by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) served by a cell, where an enhanced physical broadcast channel (ePBCH) may be sent by the cell and may including basic information for WTRU control. The method may include receiving, by the WTRU, the ePBCH, and demodulating the ePBCH based on a demodulation reference signal (DMRS). A continuously adaptive timing calibration function for a data interface is disclosed. A first calibration method is performed for a mission data path, typically at power-on, to establish an optimal sample point. Reference data paths are established for a second calibration method that does not disturb normal system operation. Data bit edge transitions are examined at fringe timing points on either side of the optimal sample point. Assuming that a timing change for the edge transitions indicates a drift of the optimal sample point, when a drift amount is determined to be greater than a correction threshold value the optimal sampling point for the mission path is adjusted accordingly. Provided is an interfacial polymerization process for preparation of a thin film composite membrane, which can be used for nanofiltration, forward osmosis, or reverse osmosis, particularly for use with brackish water or seawater. The process includes contacting a porous support membrane with an aqueous phase containing a polyamine to form a coated support membrane, and applying an organic phase containing a polyfunctional acyl halide to the coated support membrane to interfacially polymerize the polyamine and the polyfunctional acyl halide to form a discrimination layer of a thin film composite membrane, where during formation of the membrane, the polyfunctional acyl halide is purified in situ by removal of hydrolyzed acyl halide through addition of a salt rejection-enhancing additive that includes a biguanide compound, dicarbonate compound, pentathiodicarbonate compound, or salt thereof. Also provided are the membranes prepared by the methods and reverse osmosis modules containing the membranes. 1. Systems, methods and instrumentalities are disclosed for WTRU-initiated beam recovery including beam switching and/or beam sweeping. A WTRU may be configured to detect a beam failure condition, identify a candidate beam for resolving the beam failure condition, and send a beam failure recovery request to a network entity. The WTRU may include the candidate beam in the beam failure recovery request and may receive a response from the network entity regarding the request and/or a solution for the beam failure condition. WTRU-initiated beam recovery may be used to resolve radio link failures and improve system performance by avoiding the necessity to perform an acquisition procedure.
