Improvements in or relating to nozzles for sausage-filling machines

The nozzle of a sausage filling machine is thinly coated with a polyfluorocarbon to facilitate the forcing and mounting thereon of sausage skins especially those made from an alginate. The coating may be made and applied to the metal nozzle as in Specifications 689,400 and 690,031 [both in Group IV(a)]. The casings may be previously shirred on tubes or rods of such a polyfluorocarbon or on a coating thereof. The whole nozzle may be made of such a polyfluorocarbon.
