The vehicle (1) has a luggage space cover (2) which is pivoted between a closed position and a predetermined open position by actuating a control point (3a). Active suspension systems (6a,6b) with a control unit (5) are provided for setting a trunk sill (13) on upper and lower positions (L1,L2). A unit is provided for presence detection of a person (9) within a region (8) associated with the luggage space cover. The trunk sill is set to the lower position only in the presence of the person in the region during or at a time interval after the actuation of the control point.

The device has a drive (22) and two control-sections (B1, B2) connected with an evaluation- and control unit (10). The evaluation- and control unit starts or stops a movement process of a vehicle leaf (20) by the drive during operation of one of the two control-sections. The evaluation- and control unit prioritizes the control-sections. The evaluation- and control unit assigns a main priority to one control-section and a subordinated auxiliary priority to another control-section. The latter control-section is arranged in a vehicle inner space and/or at a vehicle radio key. The drive is an electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic drive. An independent claim is also included for a method for automatically moving a vehicle leaf.
