The invention relates to an implant consisting of a metallic magnesium alloy that can be resorbed by the body, said metallic material being a magnesium alloy consisting of at least 96% w/w of magnesium, at least 1% w/w of manganese and at least 0.5% w/w of at least one metal of the rare earth group. 1. Implant consisting of a material resorbable by the body , characterized in that the metallic material being a magnesium alloy consisting of at least 96% w/w of magnesium , at least 1% w/w of manganese and at least 0.5% w/w of at least one metal of the rare earth group.2. Implant according to claim 1 , characterized in that the magnesium alloy consists of 96 to 97.9% w/w of magnesium claim 1 , 1.6 to 2% w/w of manganese and 0.5 to 2% w/w of rare earth metal.3. Implant according to claim 1 , characterized in that the rare earth metal is neodymium or cerium.4. Implant according to claim 3 , characterized in that the implant consists of 97.45% w/w of magnesium claim 3 , 1.8% w/w of manganese and 0.75% w/w of cerium or neodymium.5. Stent according to claim 8 , characterized in that said stent contains a proliferation-inhibiting active agent.10. Stent according to claim 9 , characterized in that the resorbable plastic material contains rapamycin or paclitaxel.11. Use of a magnesium alloy having a contents of at least 96% w/w of magnesium claim 9 , at least 1% w/w of manganese and at least 0.5% w/w of at least one metal of the rare earth group for the manufacture of medical implants.12. Use according to claim 11 , characterized in that the magnesium alloy consists of 96 to 97.9% w/w of magnesium claim 11 , 1.6 to 2% w/w of manganese and 0.5 to 2% w/w of rare earth metal.13. ...
