Ein Verfahren zur Prüfung der Maßhaltigkeit von transportablen Positioniervorrichtungen (P) für die Produktion von Kraftfahrzeugen, wobei die Positioniervorrichtungen (P) jeweils Aufnahmen (1, 3, 5, 7) aufweisen, so dass ein Karosseriebauteil (K) eines herzustellenden Kraftfahrzeugs geometrisch exakt auf der Positioniervorrichtung (P) positioniert werden kann, und wobei die Positioniervorrichtungen (P) in einem Kraftfahrzeugproduktionsumlauf mit dem jeweils darauf positionierten Karosseriebauteil (K) zur Produktion der Kraftfahrzeuge in unterschiedliche Arbeitsstationen bewegt werden, wobei während dem Kraftfahrzeugproduktionsumlauf in den Arbeitsstationen und / oder in einer im Kraftfahrzeugproduktionsumlauf speziell zur Erfassung von Messwerten vorgesehenen Inline-Messstation vordefinierte Messpunkte (M) an dem jeweils auf der Positioniervorrichtung (P) positionierten Karosseriebauteil (K) lagevermessen werden, wobei durch Auswertung der Messpunkte (M) durch eine Steuereinheit die Maßhaltigkeit der transportablen Positioniervorrichtung (P) bestimmt wird.
