Coding systems may include an object and a taggant linked to the object, the taggant comprising one or more types of phase change nanoparticles, each type of phase change nanoparticles having a phase change temperature different from a phase change temperature of other types of phase change nanoparticles, wherein, when the taggant is thermally scanned, different phase change temperatures result in one or more predefined melting peaks forming a code that represents information particular to the object. 1. A coding system comprising:an object; anda taggant linked to the object, the taggant comprising one or more types of phase change nanoparticles, each type of phase change nanoparticles having a phase change temperature different from a phase change temperature of other types of phase change nanoparticles, wherein, when the taggant is thermally scanned, different phase change temperatures result in one or more predefined melting peaks forming a code that represents information particular to the object.2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the phase change nanoparticles comprise of one or more material including metal claim 1 , non-metal claim 1 , metal alloy claim 1 , eutectic alloy or some combination thereof.3. The system of claim 1 , wherein the phase change nanoparticles are formed from a metal selected from a group consisting of aluminum claim 1 , bismuth claim 1 , cadmium claim 1 , copper claim 1 , gadolinium claim 1 , indium claim 1 , lead claim 1 , magnesium claim 1 , palladium claim 1 , silver claim 1 , tin claim 1 , zinc claim 1 , gold claim 1 , nickel claim 1 , antimony and combinations thereof.4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the phase change nanoparticles comprise one or more material including organic claim 1 , inorganic claim 1 , a eutectic alloy claim 1 , an alloy claim 1 , or a combination thereof.5.
