The method includes mixing a volume of vegetable oil with a volume of trap grease. The mixture is comprised of an aqueous fraction, a solid fraction, and a lipid fraction. The mixture is heated to a temperature in a range from about 50 degrees C. to about 100 degrees C. for a period of time sufficient to extract at least 80 percent of the lipids from the trap grease.
