The present invention provides a polymerizable composition for a color filter, which comprises a (meth)acrylate copolymer containing alicyclic (meth)acryloyl groups in its side chains, a compound having at least one ethylenically unsaturated double bond, a photopolymerization initiator and a colorant, a color filter obtained by coating the composition on a glass substrate, followed by exposure and development; and a method for producing a color filter, which comprises coating the composition on a glass substrate, followed by exposure and development. The polymerizable composition of the present invention is highly sensitive and excellent in chemical resistance. Accordingly, according to the present invention, it is possible to produce a color filter of a high quality without a protective layer such as an oxygen-shielding film.

The present invention relates to a process for producing a modified polymer, comprising modifying a polymer having an active site of an organometal type in a molecule by reacting the site thereof with a hydrocarbyloxysilane compound and adding a condensation accelerator to the reaction system in the middle of the above reaction and/or after completion thereof and a rubber composition comprising the modified polymer obtained by the process described above, preferably a rubber composition comprising 100 parts by weight of (A) a rubber component containing at least 3% by weight of the above modified polymer and 10 to 100 parts by weight of (B) silica and/or carbon black. According to the present invention, capable of being provided is a silica and/or carbon black-blended rubber composition which enhances interaction with silica and carbon black and which elevates the fracture characteristic, the abrasion resistance and the low heat buildup property and can exhibit a good workability.

It is possible to achieve a high color reproducibility as a whole image without deteriorating the brightness of the entire image. A color image display device is formed by combining an optical shutter, a color filter having at least three-color elements, i.e., red, green, and blue corresponding to the optical shutter, and a backlight for transmitted illumination. A light source used for the backlight is formed by combining a blue or dark blue LED and a fluorescent body. Provided is a process for producing a modified polymer, characterized by carrying out primary modification in which a hydrocarbyloxysilane compound is reacted with the active site of a polymer having an active site of an organic metal type in a molecule and then carrying out secondary modification in which the hydrocarbyloxysilane compound is further reacted therewith. This makes it possible to provide a modified polymer which enhances interactions with silica and carbon black when used for both of silica-blended and carbon black-blended rubber compositions and which elevates the fracture characteristic, the abrasion resistance and the low heat buildup property at the same time and can exhibit a good workability.

A process for producing a conjugated diene-based polymer which comprises, in the first modification, modifying a conjugated diene-based polymer having active chain ends, which is obtained by polymerizing a diene-based monomer singly or with other monomers and has a content of a cis-1,4 unit of 75% by mole or greater in the conjugated diene portion of the main chain, by reacting the active chain ends with a hydrocarbyloxysilane compound and reacting the modified polymer with a specific compound such as a hydrocarbyloxysilane compound, and a rubber composition containing the polymer modified in accordance with the above process and, preferably, 10 to 100 parts by weight of silica and/or carbon black per 100 parts by weight of the rubber component containing the modified polymer, are provided. A process for production of a conjugated diene polymer which comprises conducting primary modification of a conjugated diene polymer having an active terminal which is obtained by (co)polymerization of a diene monomer alone or together with other monomer and in which the content of cis-1,4-bond in the conjugated diene moieties of the backbone chain is 75 mole% or above by reacting the active terminal with a hydrocarbyloxy- silane compound and then further reacting the resulting polymer with a specific compound such as a hydrocarbyloxysilane compound; and rubber compositions containing the polymer modified by the above process, preferably, a rubber composition comprising 100 parts by weight of a rubber component containing the modified polymer and 10 to 100 parts by weight of silica and/or carbon black. The invention provides a process for production of a conjugated diene polymer which can give rubber compositions filled with silica and/or carbon black that are improved in fracture characteristics and wear resistance and exhibit lower heat build-up and excellent processability and which is reduced in cold flow; such a diene polymer; and rubber compositions and tires, made by using the same.
