The plastic doctor (20) according to the invention is intended for the wiping of cylinders of printing machines and particularly of flexographic printing machines. It has a part intended to come into contact with the cylinder, this part consisting of a surface (21). For example, the said part of the doctor intended to come into contact with the cylinder consists of a surface which, in cross-section, has the form of an arc of a circle. The doctor can also have a polyhedral shape, and the part of the doctor intended to come into contact with the cylinder is then included in one facet of this polyhedron. The hardness of the doctor is of the order of 60 to 65 (Shore D).

The label holder has two rigid plates (1,2) and a central part (3) to hold a label. The label is surrounded by a boundary (5). One plate, at least, is of transparent material, covering all of the central part and the boundary. The plates are held together by a photo-adhesive (6) on at least part of the boundary. This ensures plate spacing equal to the label thickness over all the central part and the boundary. Both plates can be transparent (i.e. glass). The adhesive thickness is between 100 microns and 3 mm.
