The invention relates to a signal processor used for processing the line synchronization pulses in line synchronization signal which restricts the line period of analog video signal, the processor includes a phase-locked loop used for generation of a clock signal, the frequency of said signal is a multiple of the frequency of line synchronization signal, the phase-locked loop includes a counter to divide said multiple by the clock signal; the processor includes also logic circuit used to reset the counter when shorter line period time interval is introduced in the line synchronization signal due to spurious pulses. The processor is specially suitable for image processing system in which the analog video signal is quantized in the presence of spurious pulses.
