The amount of waste carpeting that is landfilled or otherwise disposed of is significantly reduced, as is the need for the mining mineral fillers, by utilizing specially processed waste carpeting as a filler in the production of new hot melt carpet backcoating, roofing materials, or other similar products. Waste carpeting (post-consumer and/or waste from new carpet manufacture) is collected and size-reduced, typically in a first coarse size-reduction, and then after densification to a finer size-reduction. The size-reduced waste carpeting is added as filler to at least one other material, such as polymers in standard latex, EVA, or PVC carpet backcoatings, to provide a hot melt composite used in the manufacture of a useful product (like carpet backcoating), and then the composite material is used to make the useful product (such as carpet backcoating, which is used as a primary or secondary backcoating in the manufacture of new carpeting). The waste carpeting may provide between about 40-100% of the filler of carpet backcoating, with any remainder made up by conventional fillers, such as calcium carbonate.

A method and process for computer-controlled manufacture of three-dimensional objects involves dispensing a layer of a first material, such as a liquid, insoluble material onto a platform at predetermined locations corresponding to a cross-section of the object, which then hardens. A second medium, preferably water soluble, is then sprayed onto this layer to thereby encapsulate the hardened insoluble media. The uppermost surface of this encapsulant is planned, thus removing a portion of the encapsulant to expose the underlying insoluble material for new pattern deposition. After the resulting planing residue is removed, another layer of liquid, insoluble media is dispensed onto the planned surface. The insoluble media can be of any color and may vary from layer to layer, and from location within a layer to location with a layer. These steps are repeated, until the desired three-dimensional object, surrounded by a mold, is completed. At this point, the object is either heated or immersed in solvent, thereby dissolving the mold and leaving the three-dimensional object intact. Other system methods, and processes are also disclosed.

El método proporciona también la elaboración de una pila de varias hileras de almohadillas separadas por placas de la manera descrita arriba y preacortamiento del muelle antes de su instalación en la horquilla convencional. El método descrito arriba mejora además la rectitud axial y estabilidad lateral del ensamble de muelle de varias hileras.

A rear compressible resilient member engages a back wall of the yoke at one end and engages a rear follower at a distal end. A center rod extends through the rear compressible resilient member and the rear follower and engages a shortening member. A plurality of stops members are attached to the back wall of the yoke for limiting compression of the rear compressible resilient member during buff travel. The stop members may be extended toward the coupler follower for limiting compression of the front compressible resilient member during draft travel. Alternatively, a center rod or elastomeric pads may be adapted for limiting compression of the resilient compressible members during buff and draft travel. Stops for limiting compression may be also attached to a center sill.
