A tool for self-defense and safety includes a body defining a canister compartment and a flashlight compartment. A flashlight head is securable to the body at a first end. A switch assembly is housed by the body and regulates power delivery to the flashlight head from a battery disposed in the flashlight compartment. A nozzle is securable to the body at a second end. Actuation of a trigger assembly ejects spray through the nozzle from a spray canister disposed in the canister compartment. The trigger assembly is mounted on the body proximate to the switch assembly such that either the trigger assembly or the switch assembly may be actuated without changing grip on the body. In addition, a user may strike with the tool without changing grip on the body.

A flashlight includes a flashlight head assembly that may be used with either one or two batteries. For use with one battery, a body receives a battery therein and the flashlight head assembly is secured to the body. For use with two batteries, an extension unit is secured to the body and the flashlight head assembly is secured to the extension unit. A switch assembly disposed in the body and electrically connected with the flashlight head assembly controls the delivery of power to the flashlight head assembly.

A baton suitable for use in self-defense includes a body adapted to receive a canister of spray therein, a nozzle securable to the body and adapted to receive spray therethrough, and a trigger mounted on the body. The trigger mounts on the body in a location that permits grasping of the body underhanded with the thumb positioned over the trigger to permit movement of the trigger from an unfired position to a fired position that facilitates ejection of spray from the canister through the nozzle. The trigger includes an actuator and a lock coupled therewith. One motion performed with the thumb releases the lock and moves the actuator from the unfired position of the trigger to the fired position of the trigger.

This invention is directed to ultra-low viscosity passenger car engine oil compositions with a kinematic viscosity at 100°C of from 4 to 6 cSt, and comprising in admixture 60 wt% to 90 wt% of a first base oil component, based on the total weight of the composition, the first base oil component consisting of a polyalphaolefm base stock or combination of polyalphaolefm base stocks, each having a kinematic viscosity at 100°C of from 3.2 cSt to 3.8 cSt; and 0.1 wt% to 20 wt% of a second base oil component, based on the total weight of the composition, the second base oil component consisting of a Group II, Group III or Group V base stock, or any combination thereof; wherein the composition comprises from 0 wt% to less than 0.25 wt% viscosity index improver, on a solid polymer basis; wherein the composition has a kinematic viscosity at 100°C of from 4 to 6 cSt, a Noack volatility of less than 15% as determined by ASTM D5800, a CCS viscosity of less than 3500 cP at -35°C as determined by ASTM D5293, and an HTHS viscosity of less than 2.6 mPa-s at 150°C as determined by ASTM D4683.

An apparatus includes a lifting device having a gas-attachment end and a lifting end, two pins each attachable to the gas-attachment end of the lifting device, and a gas-supply coupler for connecting a gas supply to the lifting device. Each pin has a longitudinal bore extending therethrough and an extending portion which extends beyond the gas-attachment end of the lifting device when the pins are attached thereto. One of the pins has an exterior annular notch on the extending portion. The other passage is designed such that, when gas flows therethrough toward the lifting end, gas is expelled at the lifting end.

The invention is directed to a formed metal blocking, for mounting within wedge-shaped gaps between coils of a toroidal transformer, including butterfly-shaped top and bottom core blockings. The blockings are formed from identical stampings, each stamping having a pair of U-shaped coil-engaging faces joined along their inner legs by a center web. The stampings are joined back to back and have a number of flanges which are bent over for securing the stampings to one another. The stampings have an apertured tab at the end of the center web used to form a lifting eye for the top blocking. With the bottom blocking, the tabs are folded over for mounting to a base plate. The outer legs of the U-shaped faces are longer than the inner legs and center web to create a gap in the electric path surrounding the core.

The apparatus has a turntable for rotating the coil about its axis in a direction to con-tinually unwind the strip of core material from the inside of the coil. There is a directing device for receiving the strip of material from the inside of the coil and for directing the strip of material away from the coil. A retarding force can be applied to the strip of material to push the strip against the inside of the coil to minimize bending of the strip as it separates from the inside of the coil during unwinding. The strip can be wound from said directing means into said prewound primary and secondary windings.
