A protective cover 100 for a handheld power tool (1, Figure 1), such as a saw or a grinder, is disclosed. Parallel first and second wall elements 11, 12 define a space (13, Figure 3c) partially surrounding a tool (10, Figure 1). The wall elements have overlapping circumferential flanges 11a, 12a forming a wall, and the outer flange 12a has an opening 14 under which the inner flange 11a extends. The opening 14 may accommodate a projection (16, Figure 5) of a functional element (15, Figure 2a), which may be a hand grip or a device supplying fluid to the tool. The opening may be round, rectangular or square. The wall elements may be bonded or riveted together. Wall elements 11, 12 may have lugs 17 or threaded holes (19, Figure 2a) for attachment of the functional element (15, Figure 2a).

A supply device 100 suitable for a handheld cutting grinder or other power tool, comprising a U-shaped element 12, mountable to, and preferably on the outside of, a protective cover 11 that partially surrounds a cutting element 10. The U-shaped element has a connection piece 13 connectable to a coupling element 14, and preferably a valve 17 which may be actuable by manual rotation. The coupling element 14 is connectable to a pipeline 15, and is rotatable in the axis of the connection piece 13. The U-shaped element 12 preferably has two shanks 12a, 12b, each with a spray nozzle 24 for delivering fluid to the cutting element 10. The connection piece 13 is preferably located on the U-shaped element 12 at a distance from the spray nozzles 24, and the U-shaped element 12 and connection piece 13 are preferably formed in one piece by injection moulding.
