ASSIST-AIR SUPPLY DEVICE FOR ENGINE

PURPOSE: To prevent the use of an air pump from becoming drive resistance by providing a control means for switching an air pump and a compressed air feeding means in other air cylinders in response to the number of revolutions and the load of an engine. CONSTITUTION: The compressed air from an air pump 14 is supplied into direct injectors 12f, 12r as assist-air through means of conduit tubes 13f, 13r. On the other hand, a compressed air feeding means in other air cylinders is composed through connection of compressed air extracting pores 15f, 15r to the conduit tubes 13r, 13f by means of conduit tubes 16r, 16f respectively. The air pump 14 is provided with an electromagnetic clutch 17 and the conduit tubes 16f, 16r with solenoid valves 18f and 18r. These are disconnected by means of a CPU 19, and the assist-air supply source is composed so as to switch either the air pump 14 or the adjacent air cylinders. COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio ...
