Infant Sleeping Apparatus

An apparatus to hold babies in a preferred sleeping position is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a mattress pad 10 and a sleeping pouch 12 attached to the mattress pad. The mattress pad comprises an arrangement of straps 16, 20, 24 for secure and easy fitting to the mattress, including side straps 16, 20 and at least one top or end strap 24. The straps wrap around the mattress and securing means 40, 46, 52, 58 are secured together on the underside. The pouch comprises base and upper layers which are fastened together. In some embodiments the pouch is attached to the mattress pad by means of one or more zip fasteners 28a, 28b, 28c arranged linearly along the pouch from top to bottom enabling a child within the pouch to roll from side to side without being able to roll onto its front. A means to raise one end of the mattress from a horizontal position and a method of supporting a baby in an inclined position using the disclosed apparatus is also disclosed.

Craft board assembly for holding and supporting a work piece

A craft board assembly, suitable for holding and supporting a work piece 10, comprises a substantially flat, rigid board base 11 having front and back faces and at least one side edge. The front face has a non-slip surface 12. One or more elastically deformable retaining means 14, 17, 20, retain work in place on the non-slip surface 12 and can be hooked into any of a plurality of retaining recesses 13, 15, 16, 18, 19, 21, 22, positioned around the edge of the base 11. A protrusion is formed between adjacent recesses, with each side edge of the craft board having at least three retaining recesses. A work aid, suitable for use with the craft board, with at least two opposing edges having recesses and protrusions to correspond to those of the craft board, may be in the form of a stencil, or may comprise a working edge, including a straight edge.
