The previously known transducer systems having predominantly resistance braking exhibit considerable inadequacies with respect to the sound pressure level which can be radiated undistorted and a radiation which is strongly focused in the direction of the axis of symmetry in the high-frequency range of music. These defects have their cause in the design of the diaphragm as an annularly driven plate which is exclusively characterised by damped flexural vibrations. In the transducer systems according to the invention, the diaphragm consists of two functionally different components, a central inner part-area (1) vibrating in the form of a piston being provided, on the one hand, and an outer part-area (2) excited into damped flexural vibrations by the inner part-area (1) being radially arranged, on the other hand, so that the abovementioned inadequacies do not occur.
