A multi-spectral holographic security marker is made by a novel method according to the invention involving a replay frequency shift to one or more final replay frequencies of a part or parts only of a recorded image plane volume hologram. The marker comprises an optional surface hologram and an image plane volume hologram. The volume hologram is divided into discrete areas which have mutually different final replay frequencies. The security information carried by the marker is a combination of the size and shape of those different replay areas together with the hologram content itself which is spread across the different replay areas. If the marker also includes a surface hologram, then that is preferably aligned with the junctions between the replay areas. Preferably one volume hologram replay frequency is in the visible spectrum and the other is in the invisible part of the spectrum (IR or UV).

A method of injecting fuel in a gas turbine engine includes injecting gaseous fuel from a gaseous fuel circuit of an injector in a first mode, wherein flow of gaseous fuel from the gaseous fuel circuit constricts air flow from an air circuit. The method includes injecting liquid fuel from a liquid fuel circuit in a second mode, idling flow in the gaseous fuel circuit and flowing air through the air circuit for passive purge to prevent liquid fuel from migrating into the gaseous fuel circuit. The method includes injecting a gaseous fuel that lies within a range of different Wobbe Index values, wherein regardless of where the gaseous fuel falls in the range, it does not prevent operation in the first and second modes as described above. 1. A method of injecting fuel in a gas turbine engine comprising:injecting gaseous fuel from a gaseous fuel circuit of an injector in a first mode, wherein flow of gaseous fuel from the gaseous fuel circuit constricts air flow from an air circuit outboard or inboard of the gaseous fuel circuit in the first mode;injecting liquid fuel from a liquid fuel circuit in a second mode, wherein the second mode includes idling flow in the gaseous fuel circuit and flowing air through the air circuit for passive purge to prevent liquid fuel from migrating into the gaseous fuel circuit, wherein switching the air circuit between constricted flow in the first mode and unconstricted flow in the second mode is accomplished by activating or idling the gaseous fuel circuit, respectively; andwherein injecting gaseous fuel includes injecting a gaseous fuel that lies within a range of different Wobbe Index values ranging from a first Wobbe Index value to a second Wobbe Index value, and wherein, wherein regardless of where the gaseous fuel falls in the range of different Wobbe Index values, it does not prevent operation in the first mode constricting air flow from the air circuit in the first mode, and wherein regardless of where the gaseous fuel falls in the ...

The present invention is an apparatus for and method of determining the three-axis center of gravity of objects. The apparatus of the present invention has a conveyor assembly that receives a package from an upstream conveyor path. After being received, the package is decelerated in a controlled manner to a complete stop. Package motion is then resumed to propel the package off the apparatus onto the downstream conveyor path. During both the deceleration and stop periods, signals are generated by load cells supporting the conveyor assembly. These generated signals are representative of the load applied by the package at the load cells. The three components of the center of gravity of the package are calculated from these generated signals.

The container incorporates a transparent front sheet made from a planar layer of a polymer and an opposing rear sheet. The rear sheet is made from a planar laminate layer. The volume enclosure is constructed of materials having high oxygen and moisture barrier properties which allows the container thermoplastic to be stored for extended periods of time without degrading the contents. The volume enclosure is then inflated with a pressurized gas to permanently stretch the front and rear sheets outwardly and to thereby increase the volume capacity of the container. An alternative embodiment of the container incorporates multiple compartments, separated by peelable seals, for containing a diluent and a medicament. The seals are ruptured by manipulation of the container to thereby mix the contents together for delivery through standard IV arrangement to a patient.

The camera system (10,100) of the present invention simultaneously searches for a number of differing optical acquisition targets (44). Upon detecting an acquisition target (44) it decodes according to corresponding differing decoding algorithms. To facilitate this operation there is a system bus (170) as well as a dedicated data bus (172) for applying a scan signal of an optical scanning device (154) to differing detection circuitry. This system may decode, for example, both bar codes and concentric rings. The scan signal is constantly adjusted according to both a dark reference for correcting offset and a white reference for correcting gain. The gain is also corrected according to the scanning rate as well as the amount of illumination present. A measure of this illumination may be applied directly to the optical scanning device (154) by way of a fiber optic cable (402) which transmits light from the illumination source (15). When detecting concentric rings the system of the present invention uses stored templates which represent a number of transformations of the target (44), for example, a number of magnifications. When the transformation of a target (44) is determined, the corresponding stored template is correlated with the scan signal from the optical scanning device (154). To detect concentric rings the scan signal is applied to interleaving circuitry (180) which correlates more than one scan at a time to provide constant throughput even though the stages of the detector operate at different speeds. Optical calibration is eliminated by fixed optics wherein all optical elements are rigidly mounted at very close tolerances. A multi-spectral holographic security marker (2) is made by a novel method according to the invention involving a replay frequency shift to one or more final replay frequencies of a part or parts only of a recorded image plane volume hologram. The marker comprises an optional surface hologram (e.g. 3 ) and an image plane volume hologram (2). The volume hologram is divided into discrete areas (a, b) which have mutually different final replay frequencies. The security information carried by the marker is a combination of the size and shape of those different replay areas together with the hologram content itself which is spread across the different replay areas. If the marker also includes a surface hologram, then that is aligned with the junctions between the replay areas. Preferably one volume hologram replay frequency is in the visible spectrum and the other is in the invisible part of the spectrum (IR or UV).

The bag is maintained in its 'open' position by a pair of flaps (50, 51), which when open tend to hold the bag mouth open, but when closed no longer interfere with the bag mouth, such that a pull arm (30) can pull the bag mouth into a closed position, and a zip (40) arm can zip the mouth closed. The zip (40) and pull (30) arms are transported by a weight falling under the influence or gravity, which can be reset manually by an operator.
