Recording Identity Data to Enable on Demand Services in a Communications System

Номер: US20120201361A1
Принадлежит:

Recording identity data enables telecomm system to provide on-demand services such as Record-ON (RCD), index, bookmark, transcribe, translate and supplement the recording. Party identity uses sender metadata in telecomm data packets. At log-in the station assigns on-demand command (CMD) control tokens and control transfer tokens to each party based on the party's profile. One party has RCD-CMD enabled and, if both parties have a RCD-CMD Transfer Token, parties can transfer RCD-CMD to all. In the absence of RCD-CMD or Transfer, a party cannot activate On-Demand services nor accept control CMD tokens. A call table-database links sender metadata and CMD permissions. 1. A method for recording identity data and enabling on demand services in a communications system wherein said communications system includes a plurality of telecommunications enabled devices , each with a speaker and a microphone for a telecommunications session , said plurality of telecommunications enabled devices communitively coupled via a telecommunications network to a communications station having an on demand recording and voice record storage function and wherein a telecommunications session between two enabled devices and said communications station includes transmission of data packets therebetween which include metadata identifying the sending enabled device and which include on demand control command data and transfer control token command data , the method comprising:at the communications station, assigning an on demand control token to a first enabled device engaged in said telecommunications session;monitoring all data packets;upon recognition of an on demand command request from said sending enabled device which matches said on demand token at the communications station, activating said on demand recording and voice record storage function; and, upon recognition of said transfer control token command data from said first enabled device at the communications station, reassigning said on ...

The disclosures of these publications in their entireties are hereby incorporated by reference into this application in order to more fully describe the state of the art as known to those skilled therein as of the date of the invention described and claimed herein. The past decade has witnessed tremendous interest in the relatively small natural product resveratrol (1, ) based primarily on its possession of a promising and selective array of in vitro and in viva activity against a collection of disease states, including inflammation, heart disease, aging, and cancer [1]. In fact, its truly unique biochemical profile, coupled with its relatively high concentration in red wine (˜100 mM) and near absence in white varietals and grape juice, has led to the popularly held notion that resveratrol is the main protagonist for the so-called “French paradox” [2]. Amazingly, however, virtually no effort has been devoted to the large family of resveratrol-based oligomers (such as 2-8) [3] produced combinatorially by plants throughout the world in response to environmental stress, compounds which initial screening suggest should have unique, if not superior, activity profiles to resveratrol itself [4].In one embodiment, this invention provides a compound having the structureThis invention provides a compound having the structureIn some embodiments, the invention includes the compound wherein in the compound each occurrence of Ris independently H, CH, C(O)CH, P(O)(OR), SOOR, SOR, or C(O)R,In some embodiments, the invention includes the compound wherein in the compoundIn some embodiments, the invention includes the compoundwherein the structure isor a salt thereof. In some embodiments, the invention ...

Advanced cavity receivers for parabolic solar troughs

Номер: EP3111146A1
Принадлежит: Norwich Technologies Inc

A heat-absorbing element partly enclosed in an insulating layer or jacket, has absorbing surface that is accessible to solar radiation. The thermal insulation is designed to provide entry to solar radiation by way of a cavity. In cross-section, the insulation jacket has approximately the form of a letter "C" or "U" oriented so that the opening of the "C" or "U" faces toward a parabolic collector that focuses light thereon. The absorbing surface can be substantially planar (i.e., flat) rather than another shape (for example, in one embodiment, an arc) which reduces the absorbing surface's area for a given aperture width. This reduces the area that can re-radiate heat energy away from the heat absorbing element. The heat absorbing element is supported so that its distance relative to the parabolic collector does not change as the heat absorbing element expands upon heating and contracts upon cooling.

Miniature high performance solenoid valve

Номер: EP2827032A1

A solenoid valve assembly (10) includes an armature (34) having a longitudinal axis (Y) and an ovular cross-section, the armature being moveable along the longitudinal axis from a first position to a second position, and a bobbin including a solenoid coil (36) configured to electromagnetically move the armature when energised. The bobbin defines a recess (62) also having an ovular cross section for receiving the armature and restricting lateral movement of the armature, thereby providing a linear actuation path for the armature along the longitudinal axis. A flux coupler (38) and a flux bracket (40) form a magnetic circuit with the bobbin to electromagnetically move the armature. The flux bracket has a pole piece (42) with a commensurate ovular cross-section that limits the movement of the armature along the longitudinal axis, thereby determining a stroke length of the armature. During manufacture, the flux bracket, and therefore the pole piece, are moved relative to the flux coupler to set the stroke length.

Calling attention to a section of shared data

Номер: EP3932038A1
Принадлежит: Microsoft Technology Licensing LLC

Technologies are disclosed that enable a computing system to provide a computationally efficient interface for collaborative viewing and/or editing of shared content. Individual users may separately edit (e.g., create, modify, etc.) content in a particular section (e.g., area, region, page, etc.) of a shared data unit such as a file. A result of this separate editing may cause sections of the shared data unit to be off-screen from a perspective of a user and/or a computing device being used by the user. The disclosed techniques provide an effective way for an individual user, of a multi-user sharing session, to request that other users view content being edited by the individual user in a section that is "off-screen" for the other users. Based on the request, a selectable user interface element can be displayed enabling efficient access to the content to be viewed by the other users.
