A solar thermochemical processing system is disclosed. The system includes a first unit operation for receiving concentrated solar energy. Heat from the solar energy is used to drive the first unit operation. The first unit operation also receives a first set of reactants and produces a first set of products. A second unit operation receives the first set of products from the first unit operation and produces a second set of products. A third unit operation receives heat from the second unit operation to produce a portion of the first set of reactants. 1. A solar thermochemical processing system comprising:a. a first unit operation for receiving concentrated solar energy, using heat from the solar energy to drive the first unit operation, wherein the first unit operation also receives a first set of reactants and produces a first set of products;b. a second unit operation for receiving the first set of products from the first unit operation and for producing a second set of products; andc. a third unit operation for receiving heat from the second unit operation to produce a portion of the first set of reactants.2. The system of wherein the first unit operation is an endothermic reactor claim 1 , the second unit operation is an exothermic reactor claim 1 , and the third unit operation is a vaporizer.3. The system of wherein the endothermic reactor is at least one of a methane reforming reactor and a reverse-water gas shift reactor claim 2 , and the exothermic reactor is a hydrocarbon synthesis reactor.4. The system of wherein the exothermic reactor comprises at least one of a methanol synthesis reactor claim 3 , a Fischer-Tropsch reactor claim 3 , a water-gas shift reactor claim 3 , and a methanation reactor.5. The system of wherein channels inside of the methane reforming reactor contain an active catalyst claim 4 , wherein the first set of reactants are reacted in the presence of the catalyst.6.
