Particularly, systems and methods are described herein to help recover liquid refrigerant from a liquid refrigerant section and/or a condenser coil to be used in a heating/defrost mode in a transport refrigerant unit (TRU). The liquid refrigerant can be recovered by directing the discharge refrigerant of the compressor to a liquid refrigerant section, which may include a receiver tank, a dryer and associated refrigerant lines, and/or a condenser coil. A hydrophobic liquid which is essentially immiscible with a hydrophilic polymerization mixture is introduced into a mold having a hydrophobic surface, followed by dosing of the hydrophilic monomer mixture which is allowed to polymerize to form a drop which is pressed, while polymerizing, into the mold with a punch having a hydrophobic molding surface. A method of permanently attaching a fastening element, such as a nut or bolt to panels having a range of panel thicknesses, such as the metal panels used by the automotive and appliance industries. The fastening element includes a tubular barrel portion and preferably an annular bearing face surrounding the barrel portion. The method includes punching a hole in the panel, then plasticly deforming and drawing the panel surrounding the hole into a dome or frusto-conically shaped portion. The panel hole is thus enlarged to receive the fastener element barrel portion from adjacent the apex of the frusto-conically shaped panel portion and the bearing face is then driven against the panel, deforming the panel to a generally planar shape. The panel surrounding the hole is thereby driven against the tubular barrel portion which, in the preferred embodiment, includes radially projecting ribs, forming a secure anti-rotation assembly even in very thin panels. Finally, the free end of the barrel portion is deformed radially outwardly and preferably squeezed to form a secure interlock between the fastening element and the panel.

Ein Verfahren zur insbesondere flüssigkeits- und/oder gasdichten Anbringung eines Funktionselementes, insbesondere eines Befestigungselementes, an einem Blechteil, zeichnet sich dadurch aus, daß das mit einem hohlen Kopfteil versehene Funktionselement gegen das durch eine Matrize (214) abgestützte Blechteil (212) gepreßt und bei gleichzeitiger Verformung des hohlen Kopfteils und Umformung des Blechteils in einen durch Formteile (216) der Matrize (214) definierten Umformraum das Blechmaterial in eine durch Verformung des Kopfteils ausgebildete Hinterschneidung (324) hineingeformt wird, wobei die Formteile (216) bei der Umformung unbeweglich gehalten werden, jedoch zur Herausnahme des am Blechteil (212) angebrachten Funktionselements aus der Matrize teilweise herausgehoben werden. Es werden außerdem eine Matrize, ein Funktionselement, ein Zusammenbauteil und eine Stempelanordnung beschrieben und beansprucht.

A dental attachment structure for a dental appliance, such as a partial denture, an overdenture or bridgework, including female member adapted to be permanently attached to a natural tooth, and a male member having a body of a resilient non-metallic material which supports the appliance. The male and female members are provided with interengaging elements for snap retention of structure. A retention plate secures the female member to a crown or inlay of an abutment tooth. The plate is contoured to provide more securement and a base supporting a socket is angled from the plate toward the edentulous ridge. Securement of members is at a location closer to the center of rotation of the abutment. It is also an aspect of the invention that the male member which supports the appliance may be replaced with a second and subsequent male member with complete accuracy. Replacement of male members will permit the return of the restoration to the original state as problems of wear, retention, or other problems may develop.

The present invention relates to an endosteal implant system and a method for mounting a dental prosthesis on one or more implants. The system comprises an implant, a two-piece anchor whereby one piece is an angled support for mounting a dental prosthesis and the second piece is a threaded base portion for securing to the implant. The support is seated within the base portion and is rotatable about the longitudinal axis of the base portion. The alignment is achieved by first threading in the base portion into the implant and rotating the support until a best alignment is made. An accurate visual intra-oral evaluation of the anchor alignment is made utilizing a unique alignment handle which is snapped into each support. If the alignment is not satisfactory, the support with the alignment handle can be rotated until a satisfactory alignment is achieved. If a satisfactory alignment is not visually indicated, differently angled prosthetic supports may be used in various bases to achieve a satisfactory alignment of all supports. When a satisfactory alignment is achieved, the base and the support are marked to capture the aligned orientation. The base portion is removed from the implant and then the support is bonded to the base portion using the mark to correctly align the support in relation to the base portion. The anchor is again threaded into the implant. Because of the precise nature of the threading, the anchor will align as marked when completely threaded into the implant. The dental prosthesis can be then attached to the anchor.

The ratio solvent/non-solvent is comprised between 500:1 and 0.5:1 by weight, said hydrogel having a microporous structure, an ionic capacity comprised between 0 and 500 mEq/kg of gel, a hydric content compressed between 50 and 98% and having an aptitude for permanent deformation under stress, even at a temperature below 40° C.
