A reinforced plastic film comprises a reinforcing sheet material bonded to the film and protected from contact with the atmosphere by sealable air and moisture impermeable material. In the embodiment shown a metal eyelet 12 is to be secured in a film 11 e.g. polyethylene sheeting. A piece of adhesive-treated canvas 14 is folded around the edge 13 of film 11 and is pressed into adherent contact therewith. Then a somewhat larger piece 15 of compatible heat-sealable material is folded around edge 13 so as to completely overlie canvas 14. The heat-sealable material 15 is sealed simultaneously to both faces of film 11 along line 16. The entire sandwich is then perforated and the twopart eyelet 12 secured in position. In an alternative embodiment the reinforcing sheet is impregnated with the sealable air and moisture impermeable material.

A collapsible bathing pool includes a length of wire mesh 12, a strip 14 of semirigid sheet material and a polythene or polyvinyl chloride liner 10. The wire mesh is formed into a circular enclosure and secured to the ground by pegs 22, while the overlapping ends 24, 26 are wired together. The liner 10 and strip 14, which protects the liner from abrasion, are nested within the enclosure to form the bath which is completed by placing a split tubular hand rail around the upper rim. A layer of green polythene may be interposed between strip 14 and mesh 12. The liner 10 may be in the form of a single sheet having pleats 11 or a circular disc may be provided with a circumferentially welded up-standing wall portion.
