Un artículo que contiene un tejido y un revestimiento resistente al corte dispuesto sobre una superficie del tejido, en donde dicho revestimiento resistente al corte contiene una matriz polimérica y un componente resistente al corte distribuido en la matriz polimérica, en donde dicho componente resistente al corte es una pluralidad de fibras que contienen 1-90% en volumen del componente resistente al corte con relación al volumen de la matriz polimérica y que tiene una relación de longitud media (L) a un diámetro medio (D), es decir, L/D, de al menos 10, y en donde el diámetro medio (D) del componente resistente al corte está entre 5 y 50 micras.
