Utilizing near field communication to improve customer interactions

Systems, methods and devices which utilize near field communication-style technologies in conjunction with one or more of personal devices and communication networks in order to provide for improved customer interactions with a service establishment are provided. In one embodiment an application is configured to provide for various functionality upon the triggering of a near-field communication stimulus. For example, upon scanning a near field device, an application may launch that provides a user with pre-determined information. Such information may include information regarding the nearest locations of a service establishment and approximate wait times for transactions at the listed locations. In another embodiment, the pre-determined information may include information regarding promotions available to a customer such as special offers, coupons, advertisements, and the like.

The process and system provide a significant energy savings over conventional bioethanol production and evaporation systems by using the energy (“vapor”) that drives the distillation process to also drive a multiple effect evaporator, preferably a multiple effect TASTE™ evaporator to “flash” or vaporize alcohol from the distillate. Additional energy savings are provided by passing fermented material through one or more pre-heaters of the multiple effect evaporator to increase the temperature of the fermented material prior to its distillation. The system preferably includes a pre-flash evaporator upstream of an alcohol recovery assembly in the direction of vapor flow and a multi-effect post-flash evaporator downstream of the alcohol recovery assembly.

A program generation system is described that generates a program based on a plurality of input-output examples. The input-output examples include input items and corresponding output items. The program generation system can include three component modules. A parsing module processes the input items and output items to provide a plurality of input parts and output parts, respectively. A transformation module determines, for each output part, whether the output part can be produced from a corresponding input part using one or more converter modules selected from a collection of candidate converter modules. A formatting module generates formatting instructions that transform selected output parts into a form specified by the output items. A detection device for detecting the manner in which a peripheral device is removed from an electronic device is proposed. The detection device can be on the peripheral device or the electronic device and detects whether the peripheral device was removed in a manner that indicates the removal was intentional or unintentional. 1. A detection system for detecting a manner in which a peripheral device is removed from an electronic device , the detection system comprising:a detector configured to sense an action during removal of the peripheral device from the electronic device; andan output interface configured to output a signal corresponding to the action sensed.2. The detection system of claim 1 , wherein the detector comprises a touch sensor that senses if a portion of the peripheral device is touched during removal of the peripheral device from the electronic device.3. The detection system of claim 2 , wherein the touch sensor is one of a capacitive pad claim 2 , a mechanical switch claim 2 , a force transducer and a piezoelectric pad.4. The detection system of claim 1 , wherein the detector is a proximity sensor that senses if an object comes within a pre-determined distance of the detector during removal of the peripheral device.5. The mixing may be done such that the two fuels are at least partially homogenized in the cylinder volume. By mixing, or premixing, the two fuels prior to combustion, the compression-combustible fuel is then simultaneously combusted via compression at multiple ignition points in the volume. The second, non-compression-combustible fuel is ignited in response to the combustion of the first fuel. An engine that enables the various methods is also disclosed. 1. A method comprising:introducing into a cylinder volume a first mixture comprising a first fuel and air, wherein the first fuel comprises a non-compression-combustible fuel;introducing into the cylinder volume a second fuel wherein the second fuel comprises a compression-combustible fuel;mixing the first mixture and the second fuel in the cylinder volume, such that the first mixture and the second fuel have a factor of homogeneity of at least about 0.5 in the cylinder volume; andcompressing a piston in the cylinder volume, thereby compression combusting the second fuel.2. The knife fixture includes a ring-shaped blade holder driven rotatably within a hydraulic product flow path.
