The invention discloses a fiber bragg grating tuning method and a device thereof. A layer of organic polymer is coated on the surface of a fiber bragg grating, the temperature of the organic polymer is adjusted and controlled, and the fiber bragg grating bonded to the organic polymer can generate deformation because the organic polymer expands with heat and contracts with cold so that the center wave length of the fiber bragg grating is changed and the tuning is realized. The organic polymer has higher sensitivity on temperature than that of the fiber bragg grating so that the fiber bragg grating has large change extent of the wave length, high speed and high accuracy through the effect of expansion with heat and contraction with cold of the organic polymer, thus, the high-efficient tuning can be achieved. The invention also discloses a device for implementing the tuning method, and has the advantages of simple structure, high tuning accuracy, good stability and wide application values.
