The invention discloses a buried drip irrigation system which comprises a head pivot, a water conveying and distributing pipe network connected with the head pivot, and a field irrigation unit connected with the water conveying and distributing pipe network. The head pivot comprises a water pump unit, a pressure relieving valve and a water return pipe, wherein the inlet of the water pump unit is connected with a water source through an upper water pipe, the outlet of the water pump unit is connected with the water conveying and distributing pipe network through a water conveying dry pipe, the pressure relieving valve is arranged at the joint of the water conveying dry pipe and the water conveying and distributing pipe network and used for controlling pressure at the inlet of the water conveying and distributing pipe network, and the inlet of the water return pipe is connected with the pressure relieving valve.
