The invention provides a method for independently acquiring traveling path information. By using the method, at least a hardware platform for supporting the method to execute and a software platform for supporting the method to execute are included. The independent acquisition of a traveling trace is achieved by using the method; and the traveling trace is stored in a corresponding storage device. The method comprises the following steps: adding the method in relevant products; activating the method; recording the current GPS geographical position information of a hardware device on a real-time basis; and simultaneously saving, amending and storing dynamic trace information and static trace information. By utilizing the method, the use of the relevant products is more convenient and more humanized, and the operation is more independent and flexible.
