The present invention is composite mold for fusion casting refractory material and its making process, and belongs to the field of refractory material technology. The composite mold includes one SiO2 base body and one lining layer of composite material, which consists of Al2O3 79-100 wt%, SiO2 0-10 wt%, Na2O 0-10 wt% and other components 0-1 wt%. Its making process includes preparing alumina with or without quartz sand and soda ash as main material, mixing with organic adhesive or inorganic adhesive water glass in 8-20 wt%, applying the mixture to the inner wall of SiO2 base body of mold, and curing at room temperature for organic adhesive or in 100-400 deg.c for water glass. The compounded layer has thickness of 0.1-10 times that of the base body and material granularity of 0.01-8 mm. The mold has high heat resistance and no contamination to the refractory material product.
