In an external airbag deployment method, a detection area located in front of a vehicle is set. A target object is selected from among objects detected in the detection area by comparing relative velocities, overlaps, and Time To External Airbag (TTE) values of the detected objects. An exterior airbag cushion for a vehicle includes a cushion body which is deployed forward from a front end of the vehicle, a vent hole which is formed in the cushion body, and a variable guide which has a cover shape and covers the vent hole in such a way that a first end and opposing side edges of the variable guide are fastened to the cushion body, and a second end thereof is open to form an opening. The variable guide is folded and is brought into close contact with the cushion body and temporarily fastened to the cushion body so that the variable guide guides a direction of gas discharged from the vent hole and the opening when a temporary fastening structure is loosened by internal pressure of the cushion body. 1. An exterior airbag cushion for a vehicle , comprising:a cushion body to be deployed forward from a front end of the vehicle;a vent hole formed in the cushion body; anda variable guide having a cover shape and covering the vent hole in such a way that a first end and opposing side edges of the variable guide are fastened to the cushion body, and a second end thereof is open to form an opening, the variable guide being folded and being brought into close contact with the cushion body and temporarily fastened to the cushion body so that the variable guide guides a direction of gas discharged from the vent hole and the opening when a temporary fastening structure is loosened by internal pressure of the cushion body.2. An external airbag deployment method comprising:setting, by a controller, a detection area located in front of a vehicle;selecting, by the controller, an object having a shortest Time to External Airbag (EAB)(TTE), from a plurality of objects detected in the detection area, as a dangerous object, wherein the TTE is a remaining time until the object collides with an airbag cushion when an external airbag is predicted to be deployed;selecting, by the controller, the dangerous object as a target object, when the dangerous object has a relative velocity greater than a first reference, an overlap greater than a second reference, and a TTE less than a third reference; anddeploying, by the controller, the external airbag after the dangerous object has been selected as the target object.2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising verifying whether the destination device is capable of using a detour path through the relay device based on relay capacity information of the destination device.3.
