A resin composition comprising a polyolefin copolymer, a polymeric resin modifier, and a clarifying agent; the polymeric resin modifier having an ethylene repeat unit content of between 10-15% by weight based on a total weight of the modifier, and the amount of modifier is between 5-30% by weight based upon a total weight of the composition; and the clarifying agent is present in an amount of between 0.5-5% by weight based on the weight of the polyolefin resin. The modifier may be a copolymer comprising isotactic propene repeat units. The polyolefin copolymer may be a random copolymer having repeat units of ethylene and another olefin such as propylene or another alkene having between 3-12 carbon atoms. Also claimed is a sole structure having a plate formed from the resin composition, and an article of footwear having such a sole.

A resin composition comprising a polyolefin copolymer and a polymeric resin modifier. The polyolefin copolymer is a random copolymer of a first plurality of repeat units derived from ethylene and a second plurality of repeat units derived from a second olefin, the copolymer comprising about 1-5% ethylene by weight. The polymeric resin modifier is a copolymer comprising isotactic propylene repeat units and ethylene repeat units, with an ethylene repeat unit of about 10-15% by weight, and the modifier is present in an amount of 5-30% by weight based upon a total weight of the composition. The resin modifier advantageously allows the resin composition to pass a flex test, and in particular to pass a flex test without significant change in abrasion loss. The second olefin may be propylene, 4-methyl-1-pentene, 1-butene or another linear or branched terminal alkenes having 3-12 carbon atoms. Also provided is a sole structure comprising such a resin composition.
